The only good thing is that the other characters seem promising, and that's why I probably will make the mistake of reading the next one. There are instalove/instalust caused by fate that don't feel so very wrong, and it just takes a little effort by the author to develop feelings between them, feelings that aren't just based on fate. And I hate when authors justify everything like that. The secret is unveiled soon and things between Wayne and Zarek is justified by them being soulmets.
